Scar hearing help?

I fell over last week and have some stitches in my forehead. Apart from bio oil, I've seen scar remedy ruin serums in boots and a rub on version too.

Any experience or ad ice in what I can out on it to help helping once the stitches are out?

I've never used it on scars, but I badly burn my wrist a couple of years ago and once it had started to heal I used Savlon Advanced Healing Gel, together with keeping it out of the sun. You can't tell now that I ever burnt it.
