Dd is 16 months and I was just wondering what times your children eat breakfast lunch and dinner? Xx

My GD is hungry within 20 minutes of waking up. Usually eats by 7.45.

Then she wants a snack around 11. She doesn't really eat again until after her afternoon nap. Usually when they've collected her Sister from school. So about 3.30-4. She will have a snack, toast/yoghurt/brioche before bed.

A little boy I babysit for, eats at 8am. Has a banana, or biscuit around 10.30-11. Luch between 12.30-1. Snack again and tea at about 5.30. He won't eat again and goes to bed at 7.30.

They both drink milk as well.

Smileymoon · 13/03/2019 13:44

We all eat together so same time as us. What time do you eat?

user1493413286 · 13/03/2019 13:49

Breakfast 7.15, lunch 12.30 and dinner at 5. She had snacks in between as well as milk when she gets up and goes to bed

DS has had this routine since he was about one (now two and a half). This is what they have at nursery so we've stuck to it at home

8:15 breakfast
11:30 lunch
3:00 afternoon tea.

At home, he usually has a snack ( yoghurt or fruit) when he wakes up 6:30-7
Dinner is 6:30-7

Lauren83 · 13/03/2019 13:55

14 months DS
5.30am gets up
7am breakfast
10am snack
12pm lunch
3pm snack
5.30pm tea
7pm bottle in bed
Another bottle during the night when he wakes

RiddleyW · 13/03/2019 15:02

Mine was 8 am breakfast, 12 lunch, 6 dinner - same as us and still when he eats now hes 4 except lunch is a bit later often now he doesn't nap.

DoYouLikeHueyLewisandTheNews · 13/03/2019 15:12

2 years similar to previous posters, breakfast 7.30/8, snack around 10, lunch is 12 or 12.30 depending on wake up time, another snack mid afternoon and tea is at 5pm. This is slightly relaxed with lunch and a dinner later on the weekend when we can eat as a family.

MamaRaisingBoys · 13/03/2019 15:16

Dc age 1&3.

Milk at 7
Breakfast 8/8:30
Snack 10
Lunch 12:30
Snack 3
Dinner 5:30
Milk 7

Milk again for 1yr old if he wakes in the night, maybe 4 nights out of 7

sar302 · 13/03/2019 15:22

15 month old boy:

6.30 wake up and cows milk
7.30 breakfast
10.30-11.00 nap
11.15 snack
1.30 lunch
2.30-4.00 nap
4.30 very small snack
5.30 dinner
6.30 cows milk
6.45 bed

This will likely change slightly when he drops his morning nap though.

PinkHeart5914 · 13/03/2019 15:55

Breakfast when they wake about 7:30am

Lunch at 12:30

Dinner at 17:30 as they go to bed at 18:30 (me and dh eat much later in the evening)

I find they don’t need a designated snack time, if they ask for something I give them it but mostly they don’t even ask!

Pinkbells · 13/03/2019 15:57

Older children, but they have breakfast at around 7, lunch is at 12-12.0, then supper is usually around 5.30-6 but it depends as either one or both of them has an after school activity every day, so sometimes it is earlier or later.

WishUponAStar88 · 13/03/2019 15:59

Mine wake at 6.30 ish and have a smoothie or milk. Breakfast at 8am, lunch 12. Dinner at 5 which is as a family if dh is off work. If he’s working the kids eat at 5 and we eat once they’re in bed at 7.30. Mine don’t generally have/ need snacks.

Chocolateheaven123 · 13/03/2019 16:08

Breakfast is usually around 7.30am but depends on wake up time
Small snack at 10.30
Lunch is between 12 and 1.30pm
depending on nap
Afternoon snack around 3ish
Dinner as a family at 6pm

Milk at bedtime.

Chocolateheaven123 · 13/03/2019 16:10

Sorry, 2 year old boy
And snacks are not always a given if for example, he's had a big breakfast (porridge, fruit and toast)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 13/03/2019 16:16

2 DSs, 16 months and nearly 4:

Breakfast 7ish
Lunch 12ish, sometimes before
Dinner 5pm - bit too late for the little one and so can be stressful making the dinner, but try to eat altogether (not DH as he’s still at work) so this is as early as me and DS1 can go!

When the eldest is at school he has a hot meal at lunch, so then me and the youngest try and have main meal at lunch which makes for a much simpler dinner.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 13/03/2019 16:17

*eldest at nursery

happypotamus · 13/03/2019 16:29

Breakfast - usually as soon as they wake up
Lunch - between 12 and 1, usually closer to 12
Tea - 6pm

We have always done these times from when they started weaning until now they are 4 and 7. Tea time can vary from 5.30 if there is Brownies or I am going to work after or can be a bit later if it needs to be.

CharminglyGawky · 13/03/2019 16:49

DS is 2 but his meal times have been the same since weaning.

Breakfast on waking so from 8 onwards.
Lunch between 12 and 1 ish
Snack of a biscuit and a glass of milk between 3 and 4
Dinner between about 6 to 7.30

If we are on a day out there might be an extra snack in a cafe but that's pretty rare really.

We all eat together, almost always the same meal, he goes to bed pretty late but sleeps for 10 to 12 hours a night so works well for us. No rush to nursery or anything so him waking between 8 and 9 is perfect for us really!
