Moving Friday - done nothing - advice please!!!

We've got movers/packets coming Thursday to empty the attic and pack the house then we move on Friday. Both husband and I work ft plus have 18 month old. I've got parents evening at work tomorrow so almost no time. Will I be able to clean the house after the movers empty it on Friday? Plus I want to go in to school to teach my sixth form for the lesson before and after lunch. I wish I could split myself 6 ways at the moment. Anyone any good moving advice??

I always find the cleaning of an empty house takes longer than I think. Would paying someone to come in and clean be an option. Even just 1/2 hours alongside you doing it would take the pressure off (if you can afford it).

I take it work has given you a day's leave to move? Could you reschedule your 6th form lessons? Maybe lunchtime? Teachers work hard enough as it is, don't go in on an extremely rare day "off"!

Not a bad idea about rescheduling lessons - I'm not sure my head will be in the right place to teach anyway! I'm desperate to finish specs by Easter!

I know that feeling! Do some flipped classroom with them? At my work they're expected to work independently in their study room if they're set cover - could you photocopy a few chapters from a textbook if you can't reschedule?

Paying someone to clean sounds like a good idea.

It can take days to pack up a house! Good lord. Good luck!
