My ds is turning 11 and we are on a tight budget so he's having a few friends home for tea. Plan was to play outside as weathers been so good recently and we've big garden with lots of play stuff however the change to stormy and wet has me worried!
We are fairly new to the school so don't know boys or parents much.
Any ideas for indoors activities that aren't going to embarrass him as too child's party type games?
Thanks for any help.

Twister? Games consoles? Scavenger hunt? Movie? Some kind of food roulette (allergies permitting)?

Or any room for a piñata

My 12 year-old would happily play wink murder or the chocolate game.

Movie nights are better at this age than younger - they are more likely to sit through the whole thing. We serve pizza in the middle to break it up a bit, and keep the food coming with popcorn etc

I'm googling new dvds, we don't watch many so not see what might be popular. I'll see if I can track down twister and we have a Xbox but I'd rather they weren't just on that.
Food is a issue as several allergies so nothing food related, dinner will be enough to cope with!

Nail varnish, tattoos, pizza and a movie

Balloon modelling, or even juggling balls if your lights aren't too fragile.

I wouldn't try too hard at that age, supply food and the games console and a movie and leave them to it.

As above-plenty of snacks, movie, let them help making fresh popcorn, hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows (again let them make their own), make their own pizzas-get bases and toppings and then leave them to it, they’ll entertain themselves.

Well I prepared a few bits and completely not needed! The weather was kind and they kicked about outdoors till it got dark only coming in for food 😀
