Can anyone recommend a cheap storage solution that holds a lot of clothes?

Looking at Ikea. We are in a rented house so anything permanent/built in not an option, loads of space but no storage. Currently using chests of drawers we got second hand but have noticed a musty smell that I can't get rid of.
Thinking possibly Ikea.
I'm not too concerned with how it looks but need it to hold clothes for 2 pre-teen age children.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The MALM drawers are massive. We use a combo of those and Kallax.

Have you washed what you've got, soap and water, dried well in the sun/outside if possible, and then used sodium bicarbonate, this takes away odour. No point in spending money if you don't have to, also try scented drawer liner and leave the drawers open a crack for a few weeks.

Thanks for replying.
I haven't tried leaving the drawers in the sun (not much chance here lately Smile) but have tried cleaning and using bicarbonate. They are old and small anyway and not sufficient space.
I'll look at the Ikea suggestions.

No, admittedly not much chance of sun here either! Have fun shopping! Smile

Kallax perhaps?

We found two fantastic, solid teak, very stylish (in that slightly space age, Jetsons 1950s kind of way), huge wardrobes with shelves and hanging rails. Painted one for our son in white, looks fabulous and holds all of his stuff. The other we kept natural. Under £50 each, will last forever when IKEA stuff has collapsed (havr IKEA too but it doesn’t move well) and if you can’t take them with you, they hold their value.
Would always look on gumtree, shpock, eBay etc first now fir solid furniture.

for solid furniture

We have a storage divan bed from kelseystores on Amazon. It was about £160 I think and we can fit so much stuff inside it including loads of clothes, bed sheets, towels, shoes, coats and large suitcase

Fold clothes as per Marie Kondo. Allows you to see what you have and fits loads in.

Ikea pax wardrobes are amazing, esp if you can fit the tall versions in. I have fitted two rooms out with them now and they have made a huge difference.
Try eBay/gumtree/FB for s/h there are great bargains to be had. I bought all mine from 4 different sellers over a few months.
