Morning all, name changed here but it's probably not as outing as I imagine
I've got a job interview coming up, it's for a part time temporary job. Just 1 year to cover someone's maternity leave. My hope is that I'll do it (only 2 days pw) and then the other person won't want to work full time on return and I'll be kept on.
In the interview I'm expecting to be asked why I want to work for them, as the position is temporary how do I respond?
I feel like saying "I've wanted to work for your company for some time, I'm very interested in (the job sector) and this role would help me develop some skills and insight and the experience I gain will give me confidence to apply if I permenent job were to become available"
I don't just want to sound like I'm using them to better my CV. I do actually really want to work for them. Can I admit that I'm trying to use the temporary job as an "in" to the company?
