Should I use this medicine?

I went to my gp today and explained about high levels of anxiety. Dr prescribed propranolol.
The thing is I also spoke with her about having my heart health tested due to family history of heart attacks, sudden death, close family being tested for Brugada Syndrome. She is going to give me an ecg, blood test and cholesterol test.

Reading through the pamphlet it says to be careful taking this medication with heart issues Confused

Should I take it or not? What are the chances of them prescribing something dangerous?

It also says to tell the gp if you are taking these if you are having blood tests as it can affect the results.

A bunch of unqualified strangers can't tell you whether or not to take prescribed meds. Suggest talking to pharmacist or dr. Good luck.

I'd pop into the local pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist- they're so knowledgeable on medications and should be able to reassure you.

Failing that just call for a telephone appt with the GP. I think you need peace of mind before taking.
