I have turkey steaks that need eating.
Also mushrooms, courgettes, carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, green beans, tomatoes, lettuce...

Full cupboards so plenty of pasta, rice, lentils, beans, herbs and spices...

Only stipulation is it must be low fat (dp has gallstones)

Turkey steaks with sweet potato + potato mash (add a clove of garlic and seasoning) and green beans.

How about grilled turkey steaks, seasoned well, and served with garlicky white bean mash and grilled (or roasted) tomatoes and mushrooms?

Pengrin · 11/03/2019 13:58

Shock why have I never thought about combining potato and sweet potato for mash?! That sounds wonderful.

Notwotuknow · 11/03/2019 14:03

The garlicky bean mash is easy to make, and serves 2:

1x 400g tin of white beans, eg, butter, cannellini or haricot, etc.
1 small onion, diced
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
1tbsp olive oil

Heat olive oil in a saucepan and fry onion for about 5 mins, add garlic and cook for another minute. Then add beans, along with the water from the tin, and cook gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mash, season to taste and serve.
