What to do - car scrape

Hi. Sorry just need some advise. Drove my son to school and the road going up to the school is very narrow. Been driving up and down it for years and seen some bad driving. Anyway, today I dropped my son and started coming back down the narrow hill and a car drove past me. It was tight so she stopped and I slowly tried to pass her - it was then obvious we were going to scrape so I stopped and was going to reverse slightly but she drove on. I didn't hear a scrape so thought must be OK. I looked in my mirror and she got out, looked at her rear of car and put her hands in the air. I thought oh great, reversed to talk to her, but she got back in and drove off. I couldn't turn round so decided to leave and see if my car is damaged. I cant see a thing - I didn't hear a thing so that makes sense to me. But I fee terrible - I'm not sure if I should follow it up - or just leave it. She drove off before I could talk to her. What would you do. Our car is new and we have issues with it, so I was being extra cautious not to scratch it as we may be returning it. Its made me fee a bit sick.

It's just a car, stop fretting.

She was the one who chose to drive after you had stopped so if there's damage, she has caused it.
Honestly, I wouldn't give it a second though and just get on with your day.

If you were stationary you can't be blamed. She didn't even try to talk to you. I wouldn't give another thought if you have no damage.

Thanks. I will leave it - there is definitely no marks on my car so don't think she could of had damage. I think I will avoid that narrow hill for a while.

Hi OP, we're moving this thread over to our Chat topic if that's okay with you - it's a better fit for it than the AMA topic.

Hope you've had a nice cup of tea by now. Brew

If her car was damaged she wouldn't have got back in her car and driven off, she'd have come to have a word with you to sort it out.
