Just two of us now, so once a week! Washed virtually every day when kids were home.

formerbabe · 10/03/2019 17:11

2 loads a day

2 adults, 2 dc

Dermymc · 10/03/2019 17:12

2 adults one dc
Probably 4 loads per week.

LemonBreeland · 10/03/2019 17:13

5 of us, around 6-7 loads a week

BellaVita · 10/03/2019 17:14

Loads.

Me, DH. DS 21 & DS 19

FuckyNel · 10/03/2019 17:14

I am a SLAVE to my washer

greenelephantscarf · 10/03/2019 17:18

about 5 loads a week. 2 adults 2 dc, 9kg washer.

dudsville · 10/03/2019 17:20

How big are your washing machines?! Mine takes 9kg. We're two adults. Winter bedding is heavy flannel so that two loads weekly (only one with summer bedding). We have dogs and keep towels by the doors - if it's been a muddy week these get washed. Our own towels get done weekly, but that's more than one load so a bit spills over into my weekly wash, which usually is one load. OH's weekly wash is usually two loads as he has clothes from sport as well as weekly wear. That's 5 to 7 loads depending on whether there's winter bedding and muddy dog towels!

When my three kids were at home I would do 1 every day and 8 at the weekend when I wasnt at work had 2 wm and 2 tumble dryers 🤪

BiteyShark · 10/03/2019 17:32

2 adults and one dog (who creates lots of washing). On average 6 loads a week.

LeslieYep · 10/03/2019 17:34

We have a 10kg washer, which really helps! Not when it comes to drying though as we have no dryer...

Me, DH and toddler DD so maybe 2 washes a week.

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 10/03/2019 17:36

3 nappy washes per week, 2 dark clothes, 1 whites, 1 towels, 1 bedding,
1 bibs/sticky finger flannels.

So yeah, roughly 9 per week. Maybe another 1 if DC voms on stuff.

2 adults, 1 DC (1yr)

dressinggowndonna · 10/03/2019 17:37

3 possibly 4 at a push. One light, one dark/colours at the weekend and then a mixed one mid week which is mainly to make sure we all have clean underwear and anything needed for the weekend is clean (some weeks at peak laziness I never get round to doing this one Grin).

sheskilledmyplant · 10/03/2019 17:38

Between 15-20, there's 7 of us

wowfudge · 10/03/2019 18:08

For two of us, 3 - 4 a week. Sometimes 5 if there's hand wash/delicate stuff. I save that up until it's worth running the washer. DP's shirt laundry and ironing is outsourced as he doesn't want to do ironing when he's home at weekends and doesn't expect me to do it.

Workschmurk · 10/03/2019 18:55

Two of us and I'm washing daily - I think I'm doing something wrong! Shock

Shadow1234 · 10/03/2019 18:58

4 of us, I do two lots per day (one whites, one darks), then odd things that might be delicate or need a different wash programme, (or bedding), I fit inbetween during the week.

sleepalldays · 10/03/2019 19:00

Usually one a day? But can go a day or two between. Our dog gets towels so muddy constantly after walks and they stink if we don't clean them straight away. 😭😭

We use bath towels at least twice before washing.

We do a whites wash once a week (pillow cases, tea towels, white bed sheets etc)

Towel wash 2 or 3 times a week.

Clothes wash twice a week.

We just chuck underwear in with any washes that go onGrin (though I've ruined some nice undies before when I put them in with a dark wash stupidly).

Tofslan · 10/03/2019 19:01

5 of us. Roughly 5-6 washes a week

Big bed linen I get done on a service wash at the launderette as it never dried properly at home.

Towels are once a week, likewise kitchen cloths etc.

I make DCs wear their uniforms for as many days as possible if no marks/stains (little people; not smelly) - they were throwing it in the wash every day and then I was washing All The Time...

Whynham · 10/03/2019 19:02

3 or 4 a week. A load for me, a load for dh and a sheets and/or towels.

MrsBadCrumblesClarinet · 10/03/2019 19:05

About one/day. Three of us, plus cats. Bedding, sofa throws and towels once/week.

mrsoutnumbered · 10/03/2019 19:10

There's 5 of us.

I do 3 lots of clothes washing a week (so 9 loads, as I split into dark, coloured and whites). Bedding and towels once a week, and cleaning cloths once or twice.

iMatter · 10/03/2019 19:32

4 of us

2 loads a day minimum

Sports kit for everyone and clean shirts every day

MrsPerfect12 · 10/03/2019 20:11

5 of us. At least 10 loads a week.

MsMustDoBetter · 10/03/2019 21:02

6 of us. I would say 18 a week.
