Sister wives. Anyone watch?

I don't understand it.

Four (seemingly) confident, attractive, intelligent grown women who seem to be happy with a portion of a husband.
I can understand his benefits, shagging four different women and everyone is fine with it.

Maybe I don't like him, he seems very egotistical and selfish.

Yep I watch and think exactly the same.

He's no catch really is he? The wives seem closer to each other then they do to him.

And I really wish he'd sort his hair out....

I watch it too, I actually do like him I do agree he is no catch and incredibly selfish with the talk about moving. I just don't see him Janelles husband (she is my fave) Even though polygamy is such an alien concept to me , they seem very 'normal' to me

They were brought up with polygamy so to them they see it as normal. All the children that are now married have all said they won't be practising polygamy in their marriages. It seems to be dying out.

I think most of them have been brought up in polygamous households so it seems quite normal to them. I can’t get too upset about it provided they are happy and there is no abuse,etc. They certainly seem to be aware that there are other ways to live but have chosen this one.

Kodys ridiculous hair doesn't bother me as much as his facial hair.
Is it a beard?

Mitch's mum seems to be helping them with a different view of polygamy.

The fact that the kids aren't into plural marriage must be a bit of a kick

I'm fully aware it's their choice to live in that way and I would never disagree with people living how they choose.
Part of me thinks that they sister wives would be happy if kody wasn't in the picture!

I've seen quite a few episodes. I feel really sorry for the women. No wonder they have counselling.

I feel sorry for Merri. She suffered infertility after her only child was born and had to watch the other wives have child after child. She comes across a bit nasty on the show but i couldnt put up with what she has.

Is this on Netflix?

I quite like Kody too! Christine is my favourite wife. I watched this for years and couldn’t understand the protests and legal stuff in Utah, but it does make quite grim reading. So I’m a bit on the fence polygamy-wise. I love how close the kids all seem.

It’s the first wife I feel for she was the one legally married to him then she had to divorce him so he could marry Robyn all so that Robyn’s children ( from another marriage) got medical coverage

Meri lost her job after the first series aired. They hadn't shared the fact they were polygamous.

I find Kody incredibly selfish at times.

I feel sorry for merri too. Made me chuckle when she and kody were talking and he was sulking a little because “ if two wives think something it must be true”!

Ah man I love this programme, I watched it years ago when it first came out, so am pleased it's being reshown. I just don't get how he was happy with his 3 wives for so long and then decides he needs a 4th. But I do like Robyn. I find Christine too whiney, and I do feel sorry for Meri.

I have watched it from the start too. I like the way the kids all seem close too and are happy and free to choose their own path.
Robyn is my least fave she is such a people pleaser that I want to shake her!! And Meri seems like such hard work, but I can see how things are hard for her .

I really don't like Robyn at all. I can't quite put my finger on why though. I think she seems very insincere or something

I have watched this from the start too. I couldn't believe how big Kody and Robyn's daughters are though!

I really feel for Meri - it must all be pretty shit for her. And she seems so miserable most of the time.

My favourite wife is Christine.

I don't know how or why any of them do it and the more I see of Kody the more I dislike him! It is such an ego trip for him!

I’ve watched this for years! Feel like I know their family history better than I know my own

One of the fb groups call Robyn Sobbing Robyn as she cried all the time at one point.

I once went on a month long artists retreat and got very close to a really lovely man.... turned out he was from Utah and Mormon with a wife back at home. I’d gone out there with a male friend who thought it was hilarious I didn’t realise the man was polygamous the second he said he was Utah. My friend also found it hysterical when I was propositioned with the prospect of becoming wife number two when I was totally oblivious to the existence of wife number one right up until the ‘I’ve discussed you with my wife and we’d really like to invite you into our family’ wtf????? We’d not even snogged for the record, just had some really lovely time together and we got really close and very palpably fancied the pants of each other... right up to that proposition that is!

I enjoy watching this series. They always seem to shoehorn the catfishing into an episode

Kodi seems to show Meri so little love. It's hard to believe that they were once sweethearts. Robyn is just a wet rag. Cheer up love. Christine likes to stir and then play the heroine.

There are just too many wives and not one of them seems happy or content at all at the heart of it. And Kodi for all the bed action he must get, is such a grouchy old goat. He should be the happiest one in the room. He married them! He could have stopped at one!!

Oh man @tutorwho the whole cat fishing affair! Fishy central or what! So basically Meri was involved in an emotional affair and then brings another catfished victim to a family picnic?? Parallel universe or what. Ain't no way I'd be bringing any of my dirty laundery to a family picnic.
