Has anyone flown with them / know about them?

Have looked them up on Trip Advisor and it's quite mixed reviews within an average(ish) rating.

Have travelled business class with them frequently as they run the easiest route for a regular work trip. It’s not the best tbh but nothing unsafe. Meals have generally been pretty inedible and I’m not a massively fussy eater. They have lie flat beds which is the main thing.

Ha - the more effusive reviews (and accompanying photos) for this airline were from business class passengers!

How do they fare on delays / cancellations - ie are they reliable?

I have a choice betweeen 'better' airlines but by quite a circuitous route (minimum 2 changes) or China Southern and just one change...

My family have flown with them a few times to and from Australia.
They are definitely good value if you're looking for a cheap flight. We found the flight attendants to be very lovely especially when we were flying with a 6 month old baby! The food is really touch and go, some good some bad, it's 50/50, so you won't starve. Entertainment is pretty decent considering the price point. Screens on the backs of seats as you would expect and plenty of choice of movies.
The main downside of flying with them is if you have to stop in Guangzhou airport. It's a miserable shit hole. There's nothing to do and if you're there outside of office hours the air conditioning is off so it's either freezing cold or sweltering hot.

Never had any delays or cancellations.
