Once I went to interview to be a flavourists assistant.
I was interviewed by two men who were great. Really lovely.
They started off saying we're not asking you any questions today, today you smell and taste test. If you pass, we will interview you like normal Next week, if you fail there's no point. You need a good sense of taste and smell for this job.
I had to smell all different bottles and say what they were and what they might be used in. Then the same for taste.
It was so much fun. I passed but turned the job down. The whole lab stunk if whatever they were creating at that time and it would be great for nice smells but not so nice for fish or something like that.
Anyone got any other interview stories that were a bit different?
