I have inherited a couple of rings - not to my taste .
Has anyone had a bespoke piece of jewellery made from inherited stuff?
They are not valuable I guess 9 or 18 ct gold rings both with three garnets - one was my gran's engagement ring and one was a 21st present for my mum. So 1940s and 1970s designs.
I would like a new ring made incorporating the stones in a more modern setting.
Is that even possible and any jewellers have a rough idea of cost?
I don't want to embarrass myself by going along and finding out a bespoke piece would cost thousands.(If I had spare thousands I think I would be remodelling my house!).
Oh and if anyone has a before /after pic to give me an idea of what is achievable that would be great.
