Malrotation of gut

Hi all,
Just wondered if anybody has experience of a baby with Malrotation? DS is 6 months old, with a whole host of gastro issues. Currently he’s being treated as having an IBD, and various allergies- but I’m not convinced. He’s never had a scan, the paediatrician has just diagnosed him based on symptoms. He starts vomiting within 2 hours of taking any solids, and can only tolerate 2oz of hypoallergenic formula a day ( any more results in horrific diarrhoea/vomiting) so is almost exclusively breastfed. My return to work is looming, and can’t see how it will be possible in our current situation!
Any experiences would be much appreciated,

My niece may have had this, or something similar. Has surgery been offered?

Nothing’s been offered at all, I’ve just been reading about it and think it sounds a lot more like the symptoms that DS has rather than IBD. Have an appointment in a couple of weeks, so will ask then if they think it’s likely, but just wanted to hear if anyone had any experiences.

Ah, I thought you meant he had diagnosis of MR, based on symptoms (did seem odd).

Niece had blood in her nappy at 9 months when she was diagnosed & operated on.
