Jaundice in liver cancer patient

DF has stage 4 liver cancer, is having a break from chemo at the moment. Has had it for just over a year, it’s secondary as he originally had bowel cancer. It’s incurable and inoperable.
I took him to the hospital today as he’s had a house visit from the GP as yesterday he couldn’t walk due to pain in his diaphragm, and GO had ordered an urgent blood test. I was shocked when I saw him as he’s now yellow. I’m very worried his liver is failing.
Has anyone been through this and can calm me down? I’m meant to be going on holiday next week and I’m not sure I should now. I tried to make him go to A&E when we were at the hospital but he refused.

I didn’t want your post go unanswered. My dad died when his cancer spread to the liver. I don’t want to add to your distress but I don’t think this is a good sign. How is your dad feeling?

Ok, hospital has phoned back with the blood test results and they’re bad. He needs to go into hospital now. Obviously this isn’t good at all Sad
