Is it possible to track who has posted a photo of someone who does not have a Facebook account please? Someone has posted a very inappropriate photo of a friend, who doesn't have an account, and I want to contact them to ask them to take it down as it's causing a lot of distress. I have an account but am a very inexperienced user.

Just send the user a message?

Celeriacacaca · 08/03/2019 12:35

I don't know who the user is! I'm trying to track down who's posted the photo to ask them to take it down. The subject of the photo does not have a facebook account.

Who's page is it posted on?

dementedpixie · 08/03/2019 12:40

Whose wall is it posted on?

Celeriacacaca · 08/03/2019 12:45

I don't know where it is posted, that's what I'm trying to find out. I only know it's gone up on FB this morning.

Ask the person who told you?

dementedpixie · 08/03/2019 12:50

Who told you about it?

Celeriacacaca · 08/03/2019 12:53

They don't know either and aren't a FB user. The person who's posted it has put the person-who-told-me's phone number on there, and she's receiving messages from strangers while trying to deal with a very distressing family situation. I'm trying to find the originator of the post to put a stop to it.

dementedpixie · 08/03/2019 12:54

How do they know it's there then?

dementedpixie · 08/03/2019 12:56

Do you know any of her friends (person I the photo) and can search on their news feed?

Southwest12 · 08/03/2019 13:01

Have they put the persons name? If they have you can search by name and click posts and it should show any posts that mention someone of that name. Or try searching by the mobile number.

Thank you all. I've just spoken the person who saw it originally and am now in contact with the poster who has said she'll delete the post. Really does make you wonder why people think they can post stuff that, whichever way you look at it, is going to cause distress to the subject of the photo or the family. Thank you again.
