Very nervous about going back to work

I'm hoping that someone could advise me please.

I'm starting my new job on Monday, my DD is 9 months old and is starting nursery full time.

She's been enjoying her settling in sessions and there hasn't been any cause for concern. However on Monday, the two ladies she knows aren't in (bad timing) and she'll be cared for by a lady who she hasn't had much interaction with.

I'm a nervous wreck. I have to go back to work now for financial reasons. I was also off due to ill health throughout most of my pregnancy, so it was also a matter of not wanting to keep myself out of the workforce for too long.

I feel awful. I know it has to be done, but I just feel like a terrible parent.

Has anyone else been in this position before?

I promise it will be harder for you than it will for her.

It’s awful having to leave your little one but she will be fine. I hope the day passes quickly for you!

I agree. Kids are generally better at adapting to new situations than we give them credit for!
