Enhanced dbs check

Hi i posted a week or so ago about an enhanced dbs, mine was done online on 19th feb, now been at stage 4 since Fri 22nd feb, still in progress. Anybody have any idea how long these are taking.

The last one I had done took six weeks. That was a while ago, though.

My last one took about 3 weeks, I had my id checked in person rather than posting anything off so that might have made it quicker, it also rolled on from the one before.

I work with volunteers and regularly process DBS' for them, we advise they can take 6-8 weeks to complete.

Mine took about a fortnight, I had it done about a month ago.

I had my first ever one done in October and didn't get it back until the end of January!

At what stage was yours held the longest, stage 1, 2 and 3 were done in 24 hours. My last one i had back in 2016 was about 6 wks, thought it might of improved since then.

Stage four is the local police and some take a lot longer than others. We've had some sit for a couple of months, others back same day.

Hi. I have just checked it today and it has been at stage 4 for 10 working days, i had a lot of police involvement when i separated from my ex h 2 years ago, he was threatening me, causing me all sorts of grief and then got arrested for harassment towards me, do you think this will cause problems on length of time, the police were at my house nearly every week, he was also threatening suicide and self harm, the police took evidence from my phone of the texts he was sending me.

Mine took 10 days but it was a repeat and I haven't moved house or job

I have moved house 2 years ago, but still in same county.
But am thinking maybe because of what i have mentioned above.
