I’m saving for a hostess trolley (really). Strangely enough, it never reaches the top of the ‘To Buy’ list. But I’m going to make an effort and save for it.

What are you saving for?

We’re saving for a summer holiday and Lapland in December too, Mondeofan

TickleMeEmo · 07/03/2019 14:31

A new kitchen. However we’re having DC2 in 3 weeks so I’m sure it will take a backseat for a while!

Squirrel26 · 07/03/2019 14:35

New guttering and getting the outside of the house painted.

mrsk28 · 07/03/2019 14:36

House deposit and holidays, always need something to look forward to

Squirrel26 · 07/03/2019 14:36

(I guess with the guttering I am literally saving for a rainy day. Grin)

IHeartKingThistle · 07/03/2019 14:37

New sofa bed for the playroom so we will finally have enough beds to host everyone for Christmas and not go to ILs any more.

Mrscog · 07/03/2019 14:38

A new bathroom but no quotes yet so have no idea how close I am! Any idea how much it costs to redo a tiny bathroom? (1.7mx1.7m)

Isth · 07/03/2019 14:40

Our wedding - July
Starting our new business - May launch
House deposit - god knows

Allthepinkunicorns · 07/03/2019 14:40

The extension we will be having, also I'm saving for my retirement as I don't fancy working till my death. I also save £20 each month for Christmas.

sar302 · 07/03/2019 14:54

MaMaMaMySharona · 07/03/2019 15:37

@HalfBloodPrincess I bought one from eBay a few years ago - it was only about £70 and it's AMAZING!

GandolfBold · 07/03/2019 17:34

Tenerife holiday in October. I booked it last year before H moved out so I am determined to take the children away.

Longer term savings for a new kitchen but that way in the future as we are barely keeping our heads above water.

I have a spare change tin that I am saving for a new garmin in as a treat to myself. Again, it will be a while!

HalfBloodPrincess · 07/03/2019 18:01

@MaMaMaMySharona I’m so jealous! I will get one one day. I don’t even drink, mind, I’ll have to store my Robinson’s in it 🤣

My mum said that I was a weird child - my sister aspired to live in a castle and have ponies whereas I wanted to live in a council flat with my drinks globe 🤣

landregistry · 07/03/2019 19:57

A new bathroom as the current one is absolutely and embarrassingly dire 😱.

SilverySurfer · 07/03/2019 19:57

I'm saving to take myself to Dignitas in Switzerland if/when I start losing my marbles. I hope I have a few years to go, it's bloody expensive to legally kill yourself.

OddestSock · 07/03/2019 20:40

Some new clothes once I've lost a bit more weight.

Meretricious · 07/03/2019 21:09
