She's 2.8yo and is really coming into herself. She's so shouty! About 70% happy shouty and 30% cross shouty. She rarely takes in what I say because she's so busy shouting.
"CAN I HAVE MILK PLEASE MUMMY?"
"Yes you can have milk"
"MIIILLLLKKKK PLLEEASSEEE"
"yes I am getting you milk now"
"I WANT MILK PLEEAASSSEEE" (said in irate tone)
"please do not shout at me. I won't get you milk if you shout at me" "sorry mummy"
"thank you. can you ask me nicely now please"
"milk please mummy"
She has great manners and is a delight, she just shouts everything all the time. She does have mild hearing loss but so does her sister who was nothing like this. I genuinely feel like it's toddlerishness. Consultant says she doesn't come near the realms of needing hearing aids and she has a hearing teacher who pops in a few times a year who agrees.
But oh my god. All day every day and I'm so done with it. Anyone else have this? Any strategies?
