Anyone been to Moscow?

Thinking of doing 5 nights in Moscow in late October.
Anyone any advice on hotels and getting about please?

@EhlanaOfElenia Not badly hurt as in hospitalised but I did have huge bruises over my body from it the next dy and for days afterwards. My parents were furious when I came back home. I didn't know that police there were that corrupt with bribery until your comment. Looking back I always just can never believe that that was allowed to take place by adults to teenagers and authority was watching it and not stopping it. So scary.
