We have had Sky for a long time but it was getting costly so when renewing our broadband package with Virgin they offered us a Tivo V6 box within our current package at no extra cost we decided to switch.
They sent out the box and it wouldn't work. So they said they would send an engineer, this meant I had to take a day off work unpaid as they wouldn't come on the weekend.
It is important to note that when they offered us the box I double checked with them that we could place it anywhere and was assure it could be. This is important because our hub and tv are in different rooms, hence why I double checked.
The engineer came today under the illusion he was here to install a phone line, not a great start. After explaining the purpose of his visit was actually to install the V6 box because we had not been able to get it working. He said this is not possible without running a wire from the hub to the tv in the next room trailing about 3 metres of wire along my skirting board and fire place. He got incredibly pissed off that this was not something I wanted

So now I still have no working Tivo box and have taken a day off to be told it as to be connected to the hub to work despite saying in the bloody manual and them telling me repeatedly it could be connected without being next to the hub.
Sigh why lie to me about how it works. They've wasted my time and their engineers time. Please commiserate with me over what lies companies have told you and cheer me up over my wasted day.
