First interview for 15 years. Help!!

As the title says I’m due to attend an interview/assessment for a job I really want.
It’s a job that I can use some of my previous work experience in but I’m a little out the loop as to what to expect/wear/etc
I’m really nervous about this and I know for interviews in the past I never come across well in them due to nerves.
It’s a job I know I can do and will enjoy, and I’m desperate to move away from what I’ve done for the last 15 years.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try to remember all the reasons they are lucky to get the chance to hire you.
If they ask about experience in using a skill, use the Star technique - situation etc (just Google it).
Just give them all the information they need to see you're a good candidate.
If you don't tell them, they can't add it to your score.

What sort of company/organisation is it op? My main bit of advice would be to do your research on them - have a good look through their website and read any recent news articles or blog posts on there.

Also make sure you’re up to date on the current issues/challenges/legislation affecting in their sector, so you can show you’ve done your research.

Something I always do is go through the job description and make sure I can think of an example of where I’ve successfully demonstrated each skill or competency they’re after. You can always take some notecards in with a couple of keywords to jog your memory if you’re worried about forgetting.

Good luck!
