Ideas for low-key additions to low-key 21st party

Hi,

DD is not into being the centre of attention, and doesn't want anything 'big' for her 21st. We're just having a family meal in a separate room at her local favourite restaurant - about 25 people .

I'd like to do something extra to make the occasion special, but nothing OTT - just looking for a few ideas to make the evening more than just a meal. We're going to print out photos from when she was a baby right up to the present and put them up around the room, and we'll have some balloons, etc. and a cake, but can anyone think of a few other little touches?

Thanks! Smile

Maybe a little scrapbook for people to write in their favourite memories of her or bits of advice for adulthood - I had one of these and it was so funny especially as the drinks were flowing Grin

Sounds a lovely way to spend her 21st.

How about a guest book? Just pass it around the table and everyone can leave a message which she can read later and then treasure forever.

Music: create a playlist of her favourite tunes to play whilst the meal is going on.

Quiz: themed around her/her interests/what happened in the news on the day/month/year of her birth.

I can't think of anything else right now!

A 10 question DD themed quiz.

Oh, they're great ideas - I love them! Thank you so much!! Grin

What about in the guest book having a photo of your dd with each person. A bit like a year book so they can write on their page.

How do you mean, woolduvet? We don't have an individual photo of her with each family member... or do you mean get a photo of her with people on the night to put in afterwards?

I had a wedding book like that, my bridesmaids bought me a Polaroid camera as a present and took photos of the guests, who wrote a message at the bottom of the pic, it’s fab!

Yes I was meaning a photo of her with grandma etc
