Help me get rid of the smell!!!

Last night somehow (don’t know how) a hiding old tommy tippy club got knocked, opened (how??) and split open spilling old lumpy rancid milk on our wooden floor. We have wiped, disinfected, had the windows open all over the house all night and yet I am still getting whiffs of the stomach turning smell.

I have just lit scented candles everywhere. Any other suggestions??

Help. I may have to sell my house!!!
PS if you ever want revenge on someone this is definitely one way to do it!

Bicarb of soda, sprinkle on, leave as ling as possible then vacuum up.

Try vinegar.

Anti bacterial spray works as it breaks down the bacteria found in milk and destroys the rancid odour.

Best thing to get rid of sour milk smell after a spill (and I'm talking about a whole carton spilled in the car ) is a bottle of the stuff they sell in pet shops for cleaning up dog urine. Check it has 'enzymes' in it. It's a bit pongy in the beginning but that soon goes along with the milk smell. Also good for vomit!

Thanks everyone...we have cleaned it again, hoovered and it’s starting to fade. Crisis averted!
