Baby leaking out his nappies

My baby weighs 10lbs at 6 weeks old and the last 2 days has leaked out his nappy. I did look at moving him up to size 3 nappies but then saw they start at 13lbs.

Will these be too big?

If you’re doing the usual of making sure frills are out and his penis is pointing down I’d think the next logical step would be to go up a size or try another brand

Is this always or just at night? No harm in going up a size and giving it a try? DS leaks at night so we double nappy. One on forwards and one on backwards. Alternatively try a different brand? They are slightly different and can fit babies slightly differently. We use a mix of Aldi Mamia and Pampers when they're on offer.
