Overwhelmed and tired all the time

Is anybody else constantly on the go, rushed off their feet, has a million things to do and tired all the time?
I work 50+ hours a week plus several hours doing planning and paperwork (I'm a childminder) and I'm exhausted. I have so many things to do at work and home that I feel completely overwhelmed ALL THE TIME! I try to look after myself (I've cut down on alcohol, given up caffeine, eat a not too bad diet and get to the gym for a class about twice a week) and get about 7 hours sleep a night according to my fitbit. Despite this I'm constantly exhausted and often start falling asleep on the sofa fairly early evening.
I've got 2 DSs who are both primary school age so don't really wake up that much any more and aging dogs who DH deals with in the night.
My concentration is shot and I'm finding paperwork and general organisation harder and harder.
Has anybody experienced anything similar? What did you find helpful? Is it just not enough sleep or something else like stress? (I've had PND twice so am fairly sure its not depression)

Ainsworths Bach flower Elm for being overwhELMed and olive for exhaustion
2 drops of each in a dropper bottle of half vodka and pure water or all pure water
4 drops 4 times a day

Whats your mineral intake like

I take concentrace. It has minerals from Utah salt lake
Coral calcium...non Japanese source
Vitamin d3 with k2 if you’re in Northern Europe or above 40 degrees latitude

They will get you a long way.

There are other Bach flowers for emotional stress..gave a look at their website
You can have 6 in your treatment bottle

Thanks Dowser, I've never thought of my mineral intake and have no idea what it is!

Are Bach remedies ok to take when on the contraceptive pill? I'm sure I read somewhere that you shouldn't take them on the pill.

Vitamin D?
There was a thread about this this week.
I am exhausted all the time and then at the end of last year diagnosed myself with anxiety after I started crying at work and developed what felt like physical symptoms of anxiety. A symptom checker on the NHS website told me I was depressed but I have been depressed before and it didn't feel like that. I assumed I was so tired because I lose a night's sleep most weeks after working a night shift, work 13hr days in a demanding job that always finishes late and have a DC who often still wakes in the night and cries for me. I also assumed the anxiety was a normal reaction to a terrible few weeks in a stressful job.
DH and my manager both suggested I went to the GP, and I had some blood tests. Last week I was told that my vitamin D level was 16 and should be above 60 and that would explain the tiredness and anxiety symptoms. I am now on high dose vitamin D which I hope will immensely improve my life.

Meant to say:
other things my GP was looking for in the blood tests include, iron levels, kidney and liver function (not sure what specifically she was looking for there), thyroid function, HbA1c for diabetes.
So you could try your GP and ask for blood tests. Mine was very sympathetic and I didn't even cry in the appointment (may have looked a bit of an emotional wreck and did go after a night shift which probably didn't help me look like a sane, functioning person!)

That's brilliant advice, thank you! Maybe a visit to my GP is in order.

I second a blood test! I was feeling like you and it also turned out that I had very low vit d. Took a few weeks of high dose prescribed supplements to get back some energy but it's definitely helped.

Please google 'Vitamin B12 deficiency' symptoms and ask your doctor to do a blood test for it.

Thanks for all the replies. Think I will make an appt to see doc. It wouldn't surprise me if I was iron or folate deficient as I got very anaemic when I was pregnant with DC2. Will ask doc what he recommends.
