Is there a Coder's Covert around here?

Or similar? For those of us of a progamming bent?

I am currently learning (trying to learn) PHP and i have just had THE most frustrating time trying to figure out a quiz answer on my course! Had to get dh to walk me through it in the end, it was infuriating. I know there are some coders on here, anyone fancy a thread to share the joys and woes of computer says NO?

Feel bad that no-one has replied. I'm a bit of a beginner / intermediate with Python, and I've worked with Fortran in the past - I come at it from a physics / engineering background so I've worked in those areas linked to scientific / data analysis, rather than languages like PHP

I'm in. Trying to retrain and have so far had a look at html, JavaScript and CSS. Going to try and learn Python, too. This is all dependent on getting my evenings back from a teething Velcro baby. I'm enjoying using my brain again, though.

[waves] Hello. I was on the preschool run anyway, trying to switch from coding to Mummying (which is always a head wrecker). There was a similar thread a while back that got a few responses but I can't find it! So just thought I'd see if another one might get going. Smile

I haven't tried Python or Fortran - I'm concentrating on php at the moment then might move onto JavaScript. It's quite hard to know where to begin as none of them really work in isolation once you get to using them for real - well, not as far as I can see, anyway.

Yes, it's good to get thinking again! I'm fairly confident with HTML and CSS but JavaScript is a mystery so far to me Grin
