Insomnia's a treat isn't it?

Been awake since 3:30 this morning, I'm so bloody tired but can't fall back to sleep. I don't know whether to keep trying, knowing I'll be knackered at 6 when I normally get up, or to get up now and begin drinking the endless cups of tea I'll need to get through the day.

Me three and since it’s nearly 5.20 I’m not sure whether to keep trying to get back to sleep or accept this is it.

I was just thinking I might as well crack on with the day now.

This is my life at the moment, has been for some time..popped wide awake at 5 minutes past midnight last night, which is a new record for me.

Another one here. As soon as I hit the menopause insomnia came in with a bang and has never left, bloody nightmare

Me as well. Chronic insomnia for almost 16 years. When it's time to get up I'm crying with tiredness.
One thing that has reallý helped is a product called LemonAid, made from lemon balm.
I take one occasionally, at around 9pm, any later and I fall asleep through the next day if I sit down!

HRT is great for meno insomnia

TheFrogsLegs · 05/03/2019 06:35

I can’t remember when I last had a good night’s sleep.

It’s shit

Flurgle · 05/03/2019 06:37

And the millions of articles about how bad it is for you when you don’t get enough sleep. Yes thanks, that helps.
It’s grim.

Chronic insomnia since the menopause. My DP is helpful though, realising I was awake in the early hours once told me 'you really should try and get some sleep'...err why didn't I think of that?? I nearly gave him the gift of permanent sleep
