He's had a lengthy job interview today (fingers crossed), you get in from work and he makes you a cuppa...

pays the windowcleaner
makes tea
feeds the cats
makes further cuppas
answers 3 questions correctly in a row on University Challenge
asks if you want anything from The Shop, and when you come up with some random words like 'savoury, maybe something small and sweet'

goes to four separate shops and comes back with

prosciutto
non dairy cheeses
pitted black olives (when he prefers green)
sundried tomatoes
artichokes in lemon dressing

cuts them all up/rolls them and arranges them prettily on a plate
delivers them to you on the settee
does the washing up
makes another cup of tea
brings it to you
produces an egg cup with a small chocolate egg in it

and when you say thank you, he laughs, says 'I love you' and kisses you on the forehead before going back to submit the next batch of job applications due by midnight.

I'm now feeling very stuffed content.

What about others?

Eh?

Whisky2014 · 04/03/2019 22:31

Haha my husband is so similar to yours. I came home the other day and he'd made me up a wee anti pasti board along with hummous and pitta..it was amazing!
He make a dinner every night always really good stuff, makes me cuppy, this morning brought me tea and toast in bed before work at 7am, he got 4 questions right on university challenge!!
Oh and he sorted and folded about 2 months worth of clean washing I just had let pile up and pike up, and he's changed the bed!

Bloody superstar :)

Whisky2014 · 05/03/2019 19:24

It's obviously just us op!

Rhubarbisevil · 05/03/2019 19:28

Mine is lovely too. On Saturday night I tipped over a wine glass, broke it and spilled red wine all over a brand new yellow dining chair. DH said “I’m glad I wasn’t the one who did that” then did the washing up and has never referred to it since.

mimibunz · 05/03/2019 19:30

He made us Keto pancakes tonight and they were very nice! He serves me scrambled eggs for breakfast every morning and sends me xxxxxx texts throughout the day. He’s also learned to love the cat!

Oh, well, I suppose somebody has to be the smug gits on MN ignoring the fact I will quite happily bitch about him at times because he's a human being and not a robot

I thought it would make a change from the violent, abusive, cheating arseholes we normally hear about.

I'm 7 weeks pregnant, appetite all over the place and all I want to eat is sushi. God knows why. Anyway it's hard to know what in the shops is safe and what isn't, so I've not eaten much of anything the last few days, because all i want is sushi.

But my wonderful DH spent all of saturday making a whole platter of sushi from scratch for me to make sure it was safe for me to eat. I stuffed myself silly, and felt full for the first time in about a week. He also bought me a huge box of amazing chocolates which made me cry in a good way. I asked what I'd done to deserve them and he just said 'you're really good to me.' I loves him a lot :)

Mine can be a grumpy gut but he will massage my feet after I have been on them at work for hours. He does all the house work when it's his weekend off and all the laundry. He gets shopping on his way home from work when I've forgotten. He happily doesn't drink and will drive when we go out for dinner. He makes me laugh. He's definitely a keeper.

I love this thread. Following for hope!

4 different shops. Blimey. You run a tight ship OP Grin

Justonedayatatime11 · 05/03/2019 19:47

I have one of these Smile. I'm quite seriously unwell and particularly struggling the past few weeks. He frequently comes home with things he thinks I'd like, does all the housework and cooking without a word of complaint, looks after me like nothing I've ever experienced before. Yesterday he hugged me as close as he could get whilst the hospital took a ton of blood from me, which sounds stupid, but I'm terrified of needles, and because he knows I struggle to get comfortable at the moment, last night he made me a 'nest' in front of the tv, as he has done again tonight.
It's not about being smug, but there are a LOT of posts on MN that could make you lose all hope in there being any decent men in the world. It's nice to have one that shows that some do still exist!

Got in from mum and baby group and was absolutely starving but needed to feed baby.
