Help! What are these tongue spots? Pic included.

My tongue was feeling funny and when I looked there are all these spots right at the back. Have a bit of a sore throat as well. Should I be worried??

They're your taste buds. Some people's are larger than others. Check with a pharmacist if you've noticed a change in their appearance but I think they're normal.

They are just your cicumvalate papillae, perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about, they have always been there!

Maybe bigger than normal for you if you have burnt your tongue odd something

Yeah I had done a quick google search and it said the same thing. I think perhaps they've changed in size/quantity thanks for your help

I get these sometimes! I think they are colloquially referred to as ‘lie bumps’ - mine flare up when I’m tired / a bit run down. My throat feels a bit sore and I can feel them, they generally disappear fairly quickly though.
