Sorry, I know this isn't a medical forum and nobody can diagnose me through a screen. Its just that I tend to be a hypochondriac and catastrophise tiny things and convince myself I have a serious disease, so I don't really trust me own judgement. I don't want to waste NHS time and money by going to the walk in centre this evening when I've just got a normal stomach bug that will go away on its own for example.

So the last month or so I've been really fatigued, short walks and going upstairs really wind me and I have such little energy, where previously I was really fit.

My joints also seem really week. I lightly moved my wrist a couple of months ago and it became so swollen that I couldn't move my hand. My knees have been aching the last couple of days.

Yesterday my lower abdomen and uterus area started spasming, not painful just strange. Last night and today I've had in and off really bad stomach pains, diarrhea, muscle twitching. I feel really weak and shaky and cold. My stomach is bloated.

Am I being a drama queen and should I just wait a few days to see how I am?

The tiredness would be of concern to me.

Can you rule out pregnancy?

Namexhangeheal · 04/03/2019 18:15

I've had 2 periods since I last had sex so cant be pregnant

have you done a pregnancy test

just to 100% rule it out, plenty of people are pregnant and still get periods

There could be a few thIngs going on. The tiredness, weakness and swollen joints could be arthritis or a viral infection causing similar symptoms.

The stomach symptoms could be infection, something gynae or gastroenterologic.

Unless the stomach symptoms are worsening I’d be tempted to get an urgent appointment with your own gp. They can arrange for any blood tests/scans etc that they think are appropriate as well as give you a thorough examination. Obviously if you are feeling worse then see someone tonight. Symptoms such as swollen joints and feeling weak and exhausted when that’s not normal for you don’t sound like health anxiety. You sound like you need looking over and some blood tests and maybe a scan if the abdominal symptoms don’t get better in the next day or so. I’m wondering if the first lot of symptoms you describe is something different to the stomach ones . I’m not a medic I must add.

There is no harm in a visit to GP to get some bloods done. Tiredness, fatigue, aches and spasms can be something as simple as vitamin deficiencies or low iron. Your symptoms could also describe ibs, ceoliac or a food intolerance. Get yourself to the GP. Flowers

Gosh how odd, I have very similar symptoms and was going to post the same. I thjnk there may be some horrible virus doing the rounds but I've had this sort of thing for about 10 days now

EvePolastriBaby · 04/03/2019 19:32

IBS can cause some joint issues.

Gut issues can often be linked to joint problems, fibre etc.

Poss a virus. Make a GP appointment.

I think it may be a virus too as I have been the same for the last week or so as has my DH and a friend mentioned similar today as well!

fruitandve · 04/03/2019 20:49

Interesting.. don't suppose you're in the south east England?

Namexhangeheal · 04/03/2019 23:00

Thanks everyone for the responses. Pain isn't as bad as it was so will see how I am tomorrow. I need to book a GP appointment about all the other issues as well I know. Last time I went about stomach pain the doctor without doing any tests just told me it was ibs, to Google it and cut out trigger foods, which I did. Its made no difference. I'm just worried about being fobbed off again.

I feel like I go to the GP too much, sometimes I do have genuine ailments but many times it's just me imagining it and I'm fine. I'm embarrassed to go back again because I don't want them to think I'm a time waster!

Blimey, op, then you obviously have some issues.

Namexhangeheal · 04/03/2019 23:10
