Can't believe it. I had no idea he was ill.

"Actor Luke Perry, star of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale, dies at age of 52 after suffering stroke last week"

Teenage crush, loved him in Beverly Hills 90210 - had posters, usually ones from TV Hits on the wall!
Read he had a stroke the other day but wasn't expecting this Sad

Also really sad. He had a stroke the same day Fox TV announced the 90210 Reboot. Really sad. Was hoping to see him back as well.

So young and so sad. His poor family. I loved him in BH90210 and heard he was a lovely guy away from the cameras too

@decormad38 don't be so fucking disrespectful and rude. Two great people died today. Just because you haven't heard of one of them it doesn't give you the right to be rude about them

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 04/03/2019 19:52

Very sad...though I’m more shocked he was 52 than he died....52???!!

MaverickSnoopy · 04/03/2019 20:00

Gutted. His poor family!!

I very much loved him in my youth. Oh how I wanted to be Brenda in BH90210.

I had a colleague who was very young when she had a stroke. She was left with severe disabilities afterwards so much so she couldn't resume her post. She told us that apparently some people have something in their brain (can't quite remember what) prone to strokes, all it takes is a trigger and it's just waiting to go off.

I'm so sad about this - RIP beautiful Luke x

I met Luke Perry about 15 years ago, he was very a very lovely and chatty man

Angeladelight · 04/03/2019 20:30

I had a bad feeling when I first read about his stroke last week. I was just thinking today that seeing as he’d made it through the weekend maybe that was a good sign. Beverly Hills 90210 was just slightly before my time but I loved him in Riverdale. Just so shocked that he’s gone.

thecutecouple · 04/03/2019 20:30

That's shocking. Shock

Katastrophy · 04/03/2019 21:39

Really sad about the news of both Keith's and Luke's passing. I loved 90210 and was fortunate enough to see The Prodigy live. They were incredible

Bluestitch · 04/03/2019 22:55

Just been reading some lovely tributes to him, apparently he was a real mentor to the younger cast on Riverdale. So sad for all his family, friends and colleagues.

It's called an aneurysm, Maverick. A thinning of the artery wall that swells up and protrudes, and can eventually burst under stress. Early 50s seems to be the peak age for this type of stroke. Alistair McGowan found out on Who Do You Think You Are that a couple of his relatives passed away from strokes at exactly the same age, 53, the age he was himself when he did the programme. I like to think he went and got himself checked out for aneurysms as they can be hereditary.

So sad about Luke Perry. He was only a year older than me. Shock Sad
