If you have teenagers with bikes, please make sure they have decent lights on them.

I seem to be seeing more and more teenage boys and young men riding bikes at night either without lights at all, or ones that give out hardly any light at all. They are always wearing dark clothes, and are often genuinely hard to see. It is so dangerous.

I know. I had a near miss with a cyclist a few months ago, on a really wet morning before it was full daylight. I was driving so obviously it would have been my fault, but he was wearing grey clothes and had no lights and I literally did not see him until he was only a few yards away. Scary.
