I have zero skills and barely any will but child is adamant he wants to go as Baxter the rhino beetle. How in hell do I mock up a rhino beetle costume?? Help!

Tights! Look at the Halloween spider costumes that use stuffed tights legs across a hoodie and attached to the sleeve. Bear with me!

As it's a school project he needs to make it himself. Anything else would be cheating.

Then suggest the myriad of children's book characters who wear jeans and a t-shirt.

Would a Tiger Beetle Madk do? Print it out, stick on to card, cut it out, colour it in, West beetle coloured clothes.

Ignore the state of the spare bed!!! But use this basic idea and attach spiky bits to the legs.

Nuffsaid have tried to suggest every jeans-and-T-shirted book kid I can think of, but he has his eyes on the ‘creative’ prize this year after last year’s winner basically wore a cardboard box with a map drawn on it (who knows?).
Usually am going with stuffed tights, definitely, thanks.
And then am going to stuff something into something to make a horn. On top of a cycle helmet. 😎
