Any Birmingham Parkrunners around?

Looking for a bit of advice. Will be visiting the NEC soon on a Saturday, and wanted to make the most of it and do a Birmingham Parkrun before we head there. Would ideally like a Parkrun in a location where we can leave the car for the day, and get a train into Birmingham International. Will be coming into Birmingham from Derbyshire A38 direction. Am struggling to find the best option. Any local knowledge gratefully received! Thanks very much.

Solihull has a Parkrun at 9am - Brueton Parkrun. It's only 5 miles from the NEC. You can't get a train directly to Birmingham International as they're not on the same line but you can get the bus, or the train from Solihull to Birmingham Moor St & then switch to New Street (Grand Central) & get the train to International.

That's brilliant, thank you OldOwlGirl, bus or train are fine and that location and distance sounds good.

I would second the Brueton Parkrun & you can leave your car in the train station car park whether you bus or train it (Bus is more straightforward)

Other Park Runs

From Cannon Hill Park, it would be a bus into town the train out to NEC
Or the other relatively local ones are all listed.

What's Canon Hill like? I've never been so would be good to know what that park run is like.

It's a lovely park.
I'm not a runner, so can't help with the park run side Grin
