Broken 3 blenders - what am I doing wrong??

Just that really - I've gone through 3blenders in the last year. Each one seems to work great for a few weeks and then suddenly conks out.

All three have been those ones which double as a stick blender or a food chopper.

I use the chopper a few times a week to make curry pastes or grind nuts, oats etc.

Can't figure out how I'm killing them. Any ideas please?!

TIA

Could it be the gringing nuts? Is it powerful enough?

I don't know, but I've been through eight tin openers in the past year Shock

Ah, I didn't know they come in different power strengths. Yes, could be the nuts. Or all the stringy bits in the fresh ginger for the curry pastes?

8 tin openers is interesting - what sort? Are they old manual style but going blunt quickly, or new fangled ones that just stop fangling?

Are they just blenders (rather than food processors?). Blenders are designed for liquid rather than chopping nuts and the such like. It might be too much extertion on the motor. If that makes sense.
