Tiger who came to tea tights

For an adult! Yes, another bloody WBD costume, thought it would be easy as I already have a long purple vest top that I can wear instead of the pinafore, and a blue long sleeve top to go underneath.
I’m not in the least bit crafty, I know if I tried to colour white ones myself it would all bleed through, the squares wouldn’t be square etc. Thought someone would be selling them but I can’t find them!
Anyone seen them or can suggest something easy to replicate them with?!

What colour are they? Coloured tights are ‘in’ at the moment and my dd got a few pairs or bright coloured tights. from Primark last Saturday. Women’s. She’s 15.

Ive had to google it now as I had to know! 😂 yes those tights are somewhat different! I’d just wear any tights. Bright if possible but I think you might be in danger of over thinking it.

I’m going as Burglar Bill as he wears jeans...

Tartan! Why didn’t I think of that? Brilliant, that’s given me some more searching potential, thanks.
Savoy possibly, I just want to go in character and not something who looks vaguely like it (like I usually do and end up spending the day telling people who I am Grin ).
I’m shit at fancy dress and really hate it.

Colouring white leggings would possibly be more successful than tights.

I’m not crafty at all but they aren’t hard to do... promise! I painted fabric paint into white tights. I cut a long shape out of cardboard and hand drew the squares in sharpie and put it inside the tights to make painting easier. They weren’t all regular squares but they aren’t in the pictures in the book. Honestly I’m not crafty at all but they looked really good and took about half an hour.

Oh god, maybe I’ll enlist the arty dds into colouring white tights for me!
I saw those tights and did consider them. They also have them in a predominantly blue check. Will see if I can get hold of some white tights today first.
