What brands are kids into nowadays?

My son has started senior school and is not into brand name stuff and doesn't know any brand names but his friend has started making comments about his clothing not being 'cool'. He has said that kids 'should wear Northface'.
I'm also not into brand names and had to google Northface but was supposed as it looks like a outdoor hiking type clothing and was very expensive 😳
Is this right Northface is what kids wear nowadays or it is his friend winding him up?
I'm not going to rush out and buy him Northface but I was interested to see is that what the brand kids want nowadays.

Northface seem popular for their jackets, and hoodies. My son likes adidas, nike, sonneti, hype and rascal for everyday clothes x

Supply And demand is popular with 14 year old DSS. You buy it from JD sports (what a hellish shop that is)

North Face is popular too but we refused to buy £200 on a coat. Also available in JD sports.

Basically take you son to JD sports and he should be able to get some.'cool' clothes and some 'cool' trainers for about £100!!

there are some north face puffer jackets listed on ebay if he is set on one x

Also a Vans hoodie, I second the suggestion that you just take him to JD sports and buy whatever he likes there, he shouldn't go too far wrong.

Under Armour is another one. Also Super Dry.

If they sell it at JD, you'll be fine. (They sell North Face too)

Are his jeans skinny? Black is the safest choice here.

Trainers - Nike or Adidas (depends on area) jD and Foot Asylum have the cool styles.

DauntlessFaction · 01/03/2019 19:07

Superdry, Northface, Armani, Hype, Nike and Adidas seem to be 'the norm' here.

My SIL is always sending DS1 North face and Nike stuff from car boots. So you know anyone who is good at spotting brands who could do that?

PoptartPoptart · 01/03/2019 21:26

DS is 13. He and his friends all wear Superdry
