Have you detoxed from social media and technology

I came off Facebook a few years ago but recently had to go back on to start my business page up. I don't have the app, I just have the pages manager so I don't have to see all the crap that comes up.

I find it soul sucking and life has been so much better without it.

I am on Instagram too but again, I deleted the app recently so I don't go on it as often.

My question is, have any of you detoxed completely at all from this stuff?

I still find myself spending a ridiculous amount of time on MN or something else. And I feel awful for it. I feel awful for how much time I am wasting on it and for not spending that time more focused on my DS.

I'm hoping to hear from someone so I can have faith that if I cut it off completely, life is actually so much better.

Tempted to dig out my old Nokia 3310 🤔

I don't think you are going to get any replies from people who have completely stopped using social media and technology as they won't be on Mumsnet!

I think more and more people are coming off social media such as Facebook because they are seeing it for what it is. People hardly post nowadays and most are not interested in being fb "friends " with old school friends/work colleagues who they haven't seen or spoken to in years. That phase has well and truly passed for most and the youth aren't interested in fb either!
