For me the best thing I brought was a chrome table and chairs in lovely condition for £15

Worst thing was a iPhone 5 which was iCloud locked. I learnt my lesson on buying phones from there.

What are your best and worst buys from FB marketplace or groups on fb

I've never bought anything off Facebook. I wouldn't even think to look on there for stuff!

I have never bought anything on Facebook. I did see a few weeks ago someone selling a few old toys for £10. Her sister posted she would buy them. I was gobsmacked that anyone would have to pay for some old toys from their own sister. Weird world.

A huge, beautiful wooden doll house for £20 including furniture etc is my favourite buy. It’s really sturdy and a total bargain. Haven’t had a worst one! Market place is great for second hand toys.

Best was sylvanian families and polly pockets for dd ( now 19) worst a pair of shoes which looked fantastic on the pics and stunk of foot odour when they arrived!

Best thing was our tent, it still had the labels on and was less than half the price of a new one.
Not really had a bad purchase.

I collect vintage dolls and have purchased from some groups on FB. I‘d be very wary of laying out big bucks for anything though.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 01/03/2019 06:59

Best thing I bought was a Fisher Price Rainforest electronic baby swing for DD, literally the only place I could put her down to neo without screaming for 4 months. With every penny of the £10 I bought it for, sold it for the same so was essentially free :o

Worst thing was a set of bunk beds, lovely photos, described as new from spare room. Lady's husband kindly dismantled and delivered them for me. Wasn't until I was building them that I realised screws were missing the ladder rings were wonky and there were little drawings dotted around the frame 😤

Do you mean bought? (To buy.) Brought means to bring!!!

SosigisAndCornflourSauce · 01/03/2019 07:11

I got two of these mango wood units which were still selling on Oak Furniture land for £409 EACH - for £40

(If I've any SPaG issues in this post please don't point them out - I'm dyslexic AF! and it's fucking smug and unnecessary)

I'm fb friends with a former colleague and she is forever buying stuff not from the "selling" bit but from the adverts most of which are scams 🤦‍♀️ when we worked together I told her all the things to look out for and why not to buy from them and yet now every couple of months she puts a big rant about how she has been ripped off by poor quality products or her bank has been charged way more that the price. People keep putting messages telling her to stop buying and that they have warned her in the past but she just doesn't listen! It's so frustrating and upsetting to see!
