I need to get that vase for my mum. Every time my dad gets on her nerves she can bring it out and display it proudly 'cause it will drive him crazy. It'll probably make my mum wince, but there would be times it'd be worth it!

To be fair, it's not unusual for pugs to have to have eyes removed...

Sadly, yes. Their squashed faces mean their eyes protrude which can cause lots of problems - physical trauma, damage to the eye through things like ulcers, and sometimes their eyes even just pop out! Eyes can be difficult to treat and heal and it's not unusual to see a pug with one or both eyes enucleated. Lovely dogs, but their physical confirmation is awful.
