Transformational coaching? Investment or waste of money?

Has anyone gone to one of these free coaching events - that are sales pitches for a coaching system?

Is it worth my while?
Are these coaching qualifications seen as credible?
Do you/do you know anyone who has made money after completing one of these courses?
Is there a coaching company that is more ‘respected’?
How long does it take?
If you have done it would you recommend it?

I am just emerging from teaching and think this would be something I would be good at. I am exploring lots really a psychology masters/psychotherapy masters/counselling qualifications. The ultimate aim is to do good and make money!

I did this as part of a post grad very in consultancy for leadership education at ioE. Who would you coach? I would just be careful about costs. Try to go with a university-at least it will be recognised.
