Somewhere child-friendly to meet near Liverpool Lime Street station

I'm due to meet a friend with her little boy in Liverpool city centre, near the station.

I've never been to Liverpool before & have no idea where to meet.

Was hoping to meet somewhere where we can get a coffee/cake & perhaps something for her DS - age 3 or 4 to do.

Maybe a museum? Or coffee shop with play area? Xx

The Liverpool Museum is right by Lime Street station, free entry, cafe and gift shop on site and lots to do.

I would suggest meeting in the station, perhaps next to the Burger king.

Then if you want somewhere child friendly to catch up with a coffee and a cake there's loads of coffee shops going into the city centre.

The natural history museum is good for kids.

I don't think there are any coffee shops with play areas though, certainly not anywhere near lime Street

Lime street station is very close to the museum, library and art gallery (they’re all next door to each other) you could walk over there, each one has a cafe and the museum has plenty for children, the library also has a large children’s area and activities throughout the day. There is also St. George’s hall, I haven’t been inside for a long time but pretty certain they have a cafe and if the weather is nice St. John’s gardens will provide space for the little one to run around. All of these places are right by the station would take a minute or two to walk to them.

I'd suggest walker art gallery - they have a cafe and a hands on room. You might be able to sit down and actually talk as the kids room has doors with a push button at adult height meaning the dc won't be able to run off.

The walker art gallery also has a Michelangelo exhibition on atm that is well worth checking out and the kids area is pretty good

Great - I'll suggest these to my friend.
