2 month old won't be held by anyone including dad...

So, my 2 month old son will scream hysterically when he's being held by anyone including his dad...This is causing a huge amount of frustration as you can imagine. My partner tries to take time with him but my son simply isn't interested. He's exclusively breast fed but been trying to give him a bottle to allow my partner to feed him but again, he is struggling with the bottle and also is not interested in a dummy either.

Our first born son had similar issues but he at least calmed with a dummy when with my partner.

My partner is now really disheartened, frustrated and at times angry at it all. Any advice greatly appreciated!

How long is Dad trying for? DD had a short phase at around 10 weeks of going nuts if I held her. I just gritted my teeth for at least 15 minutes, and I would only hand her back if she got really distressed. It usually took about 10 minutes, and I think it lasted a fortnight. Babies change constantly, and in six weeks he might be demanding Daddy at all times. DD was ebf, so I couldn't feed her either.

I’m pregnant so no experience yet but a friend today suggested I wear a t shirt of DPs for a few hours & even spilt a little breast milk on it and then gave it to him to wear after baby had to fed as then it would smell of both me and DP.

It seems to be logical but I don’t actually know if it will work - but maybe worth a try??
