Can we afford another child?

My partner and I have an amazing 5 year old dd and would really like to ttc soon. Dd is also desperate for a little brother or sister. However I am just worried about not being able to afford it and not having enough room for another little person.
We have household income of 32k and rent a two bed for 500 a month. Our flat is very small and a bit cramped for a family of 4.
Has anyone had 2 children in a two bed flat? Do you think it would be selfish for us to have another?

Thank you x

In the long term is your situation likely to improve?
Small children sharing a room is ok, but if you have a son DD ‘will be less enthusiastic about sharing a room aged 13 with a 7 year old boy than she probably currently is about the idea of a baby sibling

Can you afford two set soon of swimming lessons/hobbies/school uniform etc?

Thanks lastqueen, I definetly wouldn’t want them to share a room long term.
We have been saving for a deposit and are hoping in a couple of years to be able to buy a house.
Our dd goes dancing and swimming and dp’s pay has been going up so I think in a few years we should be ok.
