I live in an area where these are still being issued.
I have two children, both at different schools within the same local authority.
I took my children out of school for one week, 5 days.
One of my children’s schools authorised the absence.
The other school did not.
I now have a fine from my local authority for one of my children.
How can this be right?
My child has missed ONE other day of school that term, and maybe three days in the preceding year.
Has anyone successfully appealed?
