Stiff Zip!

Is there any way of easing a stiff zip on a boot? It's new, the other one moves very easily but this one is very difficult to move for a weakling like me. I don't think there's anything stuck in the mechanism, it just seems to need oiling or something but zips shouldn't need oiling Confused

Scribble on it with a pencil. I think the lead (I know it's not really lead) eases it.

If lead pencil doesn't work, try a plain candle. (That sounds a bit rude).
