Hmm my French is pants am going at the weekend and want to know where to avoid.

There is something big planned from the 9-12 March...I don't know if you are still there then.

Just had a look at there is a translate option on that link, which may help.

We are there 2 & 3 the article says what happened but I’m keen to find where to avoid with my fairly fragile mother over the weekend.

If you tell us roughly where you are going we might be able to help. Our nearest city has had a demo most Saturdays, but there has been nothing locally for ages.

I'm assuming you'll be in Paris? This site shows the route that they have planned so far. Avoid central Paris and assume that most central metro line 1 stations will be shut.

Nearest station is saint michel, we satellite staying on rue de la harpe. Thanks for the website link.
